While we oversee the County Championships in Westmeath, we also have primary responsibility for the development of the sport in both Clubs and Schools in Westmeath and also, the wellbeing and development of our players.  We aim to be fully inclusive ensuring we adapt to suit the needs of our members and cater for all ages ranging from 5 to 75+.

Westmeath GAA Handball has had notable success in both the All-Ireland Senior Championships and also within the World Championships which are held every three years as well as other international events.  We are home to a number of All-Ireland Titles including Senior All-Ireland Titles along with a collection of international titles at both juvenile and adult grades.  We cater to the elite players such as Robbie McCarthy Jnr who created history in our sport, but also for competitors who play just for fitness and fun, attending the many family fun events throughout the year.   Competitive gradings progressing to Leinster/National Championships as follows; Juveniles (U12 to U17), Senior, Intermediate, Junior, Minor, Junior B, Junior C, 35 and over, over 40, over 50, over 55, over 60, over 65, over 70, over 75.
